Today we announce our collaboration with 8Soft, a value added distributor in Germany. 8Soft will provide Nextcloud to their partner network, together with other security related solutions in their portfolio like Kaspersky and Clavister – both solutions that work with Nextcloud.
Olaf Gürtler, 8Soft business development manager, about the partnership:
This gives our resellers a wonderful one-stop product combination that should be well received in the market. Together we want to gain even more reach in the market and new partners. Up to now, many companies have not seen Nextcloud as a security solution. However, recently, since the overturning of the EU-US Privacy Shield or the Cloud Act, the idea of being in control of one’s data and becoming independent of large US providers has moved more strongly into the corporate focus. With a self-hosted enterprise collaboration platform, Nextcloud meets exactly this need.
Nextcloud has grown strongly since its founding in 2016 and has steadily expanded its market position, previously in direct sales. In order to meet the high demand in the DACH market even better and to be able to comprehensively support partners in the future, Nextcloud is now relying on competent support from the Würzburg-based security solutions distributor.
Frank Karlitschek, CEO at Nextcloud GmbH, expects a lot from the cooperation:
With 8Soft, we now have an experienced distributor at our side who will support us in many ways: from onboarding new partners to expanding existing ones, in product training and tenders, or overall in the sale of our collaboration solutions.
8Soft and Nextcloud have a lot in common. Both partners are young, dynamic, owner-managed and focused on community collaboration. Healthy growth through community work and close, personal collaboration with partners is very important to both. The personal communication and, above all, their in-depth expertise provide trust for customers and partners.
8Soft’s deep experience in cybersecurity solutions, especially Kaspersky, can be beneficial for the further development of Nextcloud. In fact, the announcement of Nextcloud’s partnership with Kaspersky in 2020 had led to increased inquiries from the security sector. Nextcloud had therefore been looking for a suitable distribution with a security background for some time.
We have found this with 8Soft GmbH as a value added distributor. We are looking forward to a successful cooperation.
