Nextcloud is fundamentally designed so that Nextcloud GmbH does not have any access to customer data, removing the need for a data processor or controller agreement under the GDPR or similar legislation. With Nextcloud, you stay compliant with regulations like GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, FERPA, COPPA, MTCDPA, and PCI DSS.

Yes, and even more than that, Nextcloud can scale to tens of millions of users. We have a successful examples of large-scale setups among our success stories. Especially big deployments can use Nextcloud Global Scale for running efficient architectures with local data and minimal latency.

You might already have apps with a dashboard, or a video conferencing solution, a whiteboard, file share or others. Specialized tools can sometimes be very good at specific things. But the fragmentation increases cost, complexity, security risks and of course reduces productivity. Things improve a little with integrations between apps and some vendors even offer bundles of various loosely integrated tools. But the integration is usually limited, so user experience continues to suffer.

Nextcloud Hub’s platform is designed to consolidating many separate tools in one place, while remaining flexible. A number of optional third party developed components is available which reduce friction through a more comprehensive integration than typical bundles offer. This way each organization can build a collaboration platform that fits their unique situation and needs while providing their users a true unified experience.

Learn more about the benefits of the Nextcloud Hub approach over separate applications or bundles in our blog post.

You can brand and customize your Nextcloud solution. Our support engineers will make sure Nextcloud represents your brand by helping you configure the web interface and providing you with branded clients if needed.

Our partners offer training for their end customers (e.g. our partner HKN in Germany). For service providers, we can do trainings, but we do not train their end customers.

The community edition is aimed for home users or very small installations like a local soccer club, not mission critical infrastructure. The Nextcloud Enterprise product is designed for professional deployment where the use of Nextcloud is critical to success. While the solution and code are freely available, with Nextcloud Enterprise we ensure smooth installation, stability, and security.

Both the community and enterprise version are 100% open source, just build with a different selection of code, versions and settings. Similar to how Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux are opinionated builds from the wide range of open source software in the Linux ecosystem.

Beyond code, it comes with our expertise: dedicated professional support, early fixes, consulting for deployment and maintenance, assistance with migration and upgrades, customer documentation. Nextcloud Enterprise ensures that you have a successful, well performing, stable collaboration platform.

We provide support in English and other languages through our partners, contact us for details.

No, we do not sell access to support or resources separately.
