Nextcloud expands collaboration with partners by launching a newly designed partner program. The program boosts joint activities with partners significantly, streamlines processes and promotes further international expansion. The new partner program gives businesses and the public sector access to sovereign technology from familiar vendors and local service, enabling them to improve resilience and reduce their dependency on Big Tech. The engagement with the channel is part of the recently announced commitment of Nextcloud to invest €250 million in digital sovereignty by 2030.
“Digital sovereignty is a joint task. That’s why we don’t want to just create another partner program, but rather an ecosystem that is committed to this goal and works together to make organizations across the globe more independent and resilient,” says Frank Karlitschek, CEO of Nextcloud.
High demand for resilient solutions creates sales potential for the channel
Demand for Nextcloud has grown threefold worldwide compared to last year and system integrators and IT service firms receive a constant stream of questions about solutions that would reduce reliance on a handful of big tech firms. Through the Nextcloud partner program, partners have the opportunity to expand their product portfolio with a data-sovereign solution, while also benefiting commercially from this growing trend.
The partner program will also drive Nextcloud’s international expansion. “We are seeing interest from almost every region of the world. This makes it all the more important for us to have local experts who can support customers on their journey to digital sovereignty,” says Karlitschek and adds: “It’s not just about selling more; it’s about making real alternatives to Big Tech available everywhere.”
More resources for the channel
Over the past few months, Nextcloud has invested in a dedicated marketing team and sales resources to support its channel partners. Nextcloud provides the technology and assists partners with joint go-to-market activities. A three-tier system providers transparent opportunities to partners, creating a clear roadmap and facilitating the planning of joint activities. The program provides partners with the necessary tools and knowledge to develop the right solution for their customers, integrated in their existing offerings. Alongside ready-to-use, scalable software and integration components, partners also receive tailor-made options for migration, deployment, scaling and support, reducing the required effort to help their customers get started.
