Nextcloud and the Nextcloud logo is a registered trademark of Nextcloud GmbH<\/a> in Germany and\/or other countries. These guidelines cover the following marks pertaining both to the product names and the logo: \u201cNextcloud\u201d and the blue\/white cloud logo with or without the word Nextcloud; the service \u201cNextcloud Enterprise\u201d; and our products: \u201cNextcloud Files\u201d; \u201cNextcloud Groupware\u201d and \u201cNextcloud Talk\u201d. This set of marks is collectively referred to as the \u201cNextcloud marks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Distributing Nextcloud server<\/h3>\n

You can use the Nextcloud marks to identify Nextcloud for Nextcloud Server downloads separately or as part of a Virtual Machine, docker image, installer, PHP server package or in another form as long as you have not made any modifications to Nextcloud Server itself.<\/p>\n

Note that pre-configuration and enabling or pre-installing Nextcloud apps from our app store are not considered changes or modifications to Nextcloud. But no app or functionality which is part of Nextcloud Hub by default can be removed or disabled automatically, nor can \u2018custom\u2019 apps which are not in our app store be installed. You can NOT<\/strong> disable the updater, the Files app, the Talk app (or prevent its installation by default), the support app, or install a custom theming app, or install a custom authentication app not on the app store and still use Nextcloud marks.
\nIf you do any of those things, you must remove the Nextcloud name and marks from the application user interface completely and you can not use your marks in any advertising, documentation or communication about the product.
\nWe want to ensure users do not confuse modified products from a third party with the official Nextcloud product.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=\u00bb1\/4″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=\u00bb1\/2″][vc_column_text css=\u00bb\u00bb]<\/p>\n

We do not consider the distribution of Nextcloud as part of a Linux server distribution and noting this fact as advertisement of Nextcloud services. However you can not use the Nextcloud marks to advertise hosting of a Nextcloud VM or Docker image on your hosting service without permission.<\/p>\n

If you wish to distribute the iOS or Android client modified or unmodified on these stores you can not use ANY Nextcloud mark other than what fair use allows and you must make sure that such stores are compatible with the respective Open Source license of such Nextcloud mobile app. This means you can NOT<\/strong> use the term \u00abNextcloud\u00bb in the name of your app. You MUST<\/strong> make clear that your app is NOT<\/strong> the official Nextcloud client and contains modifications from the original\u2013 if any. We reserve the right to demand you take down the Nextcloud client if you violate any of these provisions.
