Resumen

El año pasado, la pandemia de COVID-19 hizo necesaria una serie de medidas de aislamiento social y de seguridad sin precedentes, y casi ningún aspecto de la vida cotidiana quedó sin afectar. Un área que ciertamente ha visto cambios considerables como resultado del COVID-19 es el sector de la educación. Cuando las escuelas y universidades de todo el mundo se vieron obligadas a cerrar sus puertas para evitar su propagación, hubo que adoptar métodos y tecnologías alternativas casi de la noche a la mañana. El aprendizaje online se convirtió en una necesidad urgente, más que en una opción. Muchas organizaciones se pasaron a las soluciones de la nube pública, pero los problemas de privacidad y cumplimiento normativo de éstas se hicieron rápidamente evidentes y muchas se arrepintieron de las decisiones precipitadas que tomaron.
